Poems from Bollywood

Today, let me share three nice poems from various bollywood movies. I wish the reader of this blog "Express YourSelf !" will like them. They are from movie 1. Shaarabi, 2. Veer-zara, and 3. Lage Raho Munnabhai. I already shared Breathless lyrics at my blog. Enjoy MAADI !

Sharaabi

Kisi pe husna ka gurur, javani ka nasha
Kisi ke dil pe mahobat ki, ravani ka nasha
Kisi ko dekh ke saso se, ubharata hai nasha
Bina piye bhi kai had se, Gujarat hai nasha
Nashe me kaun nahi hai, muje batao jara
Kise hai hosh, mere samane to lavo jara
Nasha hai sab pe, magar rang nashe ka hai juda
Khi khili hue juba pe, hai sabnam ka nasha
Hava pe khushbu ka, badal pe, hai rimzim ka nasha
Kahi surun hai khushiyo ka, kahi gam ka nasha
Nasha Sharab me hota to, nachati bottle
Maikade jumate, paimano me hoti hal-chal
Nasha Sharab me hota to, nachati bottle
Nashe mai kaun nahi hai, muze batao jara
Log kahete hai mai sharabi hu
Tumane bhi shayad, yehi, socha liya hoga….

Veer-Jara

Ek din, jab savere savere,
Surmai se, andher ki chaadar hata ke,
Ek Parabt ke Takiye se,
Suraj ne sar jo uthaya,
To dekha,
Dil ki vadi me, chahat ka mausam aaya
Aur vado ki daliyo par,
Unginat bite lamho ki kaliya,
Mahekane lagi hai
Unkahi unsuni aaraju,
Aadhi soi hui, aadhi jaagi hui,
Aankhe malate huye dekhati hai,
Laher dar laher, Mauj dar mauj,
Baheti hui zindagi
Fir se har pal nai, aur fir bhi vahi,
Ha vahi zindagi
Jis ke daman me, koi mahobat bhi hai
Koi hasart bhi hai
Paas ana bhi hai, dur jana bhi hai
Aur yeh ahesas hai,
Waqt zarane sa bheta huva
Ja raha hai yeh kaheta huva
Dil ki vadi me, chahat ka mausam aaya
Aur vado ki daliyo par,
Unginat bite lamho ki kaliya,
Mahekane lagi hai

Lage Raho Munnabhai

Yeh hai mera aaj ka khayal
Un sab ke liye jo dode ja rahe hai, is shher me,
Shehar ki is daud me daud ke karana kya hai?
Agar yahi jina hai dosto, to fir marana kya hai?
Paheli baris me, train late hone ki fikra hai
Bhul gaye?
Bhigate huve tahelana kya hai?
Serial ke kiradaro ka sara haal hai malum
Par maa kaa haal puchhane ki, furasat kaha hai?
Aap ret pe nange paav tahelate kyo nahi?
Ek so aath hai channel, par dil bahelate kyo nahi?
Internet pe duniya se to touch mai hai
Lekin padosh me kaun raheta hai, janate tak nahi
Mobile, land line sab ki bharam hai,
Lekin zigari dost tak pahuche aise taar kaha hai?
Kab dubate huve suraj ko dekha thaa, yaad hai?
Kab jana tha, shaam ka gujarana kya hai?
To dosto,
Shehar ki is daud me daud ke karana kya hai?
Agar yahi jina hai dosto, to fir marana kya hai?

And one more interesting poem from Coca Cola advertisement. Have a look http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X7N9z8sh4sQ&feature=youtu.be

Here are the lyrics

Umeedon Waali Dhoop, Sunshine Waali Aasha…
Rone Ke Wajah Kam Hai, Hasney Ke Bahaaney Zyaadaa...
Zidd Hai Muskurayengein, Khush Rehane Ka Hai Waadaa...
Umeedon Waali Dhoop, Sunshine Waali Aasha …
Tum Dil Se Agar Poochhoge, Woh Khush Rehnaa Hi Chahein …
Jab Sachey Man Se Maango, Toh Khul Jaate Hai Raahein …
Toh Khul Ke Khushi Lutao, Yeh Kyaa Aadhaa Aadhaa…
Umeedon Waali Dhoop, Sunshine Waali Aasha
Umeedon Waali Dhoop, Sunshine Waali Aashaaaaa...

What an idea, Sir-ji

Innovation….’Hmmm’’ buzz word. The movie 3 Idots has highlighted it very well….Recently, US president Obama emphasized on Innovation for boosting competitiveness and job creation. Yes, innovation is also a business strategy. A business farm can succeed based on low price, quality offering or some differentiation/innovation. Today, I am starting a new series on innovation "What an idea, Sirji" at our blog “Express YourSelf !”

Here, you will find some innovative ideas, tips and tricks, application of technology in our day to day life, some basic theory behind it. I will also contribute a new blog, E-Science Center. It targets students, to think creative and innovative. The blog will have lots of projects, practical application of theory, concepts that students learn in school. It just makes science learning as fun. :)

I wish to follow some format/template to describe innovative ideas. I got inspiration to create such template from a famous book "Design Patterns: Elements of Reusable Object-Oriented Software" by Erich Gamma, Richard Helm, Ralph Johnson and John Vlissides with a foreword by Grady Booch (Gang of Four, or GoF)

Innovation name: A word or a phrase that concisely describe the innovative idea.
Intent: Purpose to solve a particular need.
Context: A historical background about identification of the need and motivation for such innovation.
Applicability: Describes some common situation attributes, where we can apply this innovation.
Accessories: A list of required tools, softwares, hardwares, etc.
Implementation: Step by step guide to implement the solutions.
Known Uses: Use cases for the innovation
Limitations:
Future Scope:
Related solutions: Sometimes the related solution, may be more complex. Read this funny article "Process Improvement - Good Story"

Sometimes, I will mention about my ideas, where I need your inputs to manifest it. The implementation steps are vague. So fasten your seatbelt to explore and also to contribute for some innovations at our own blog, “Express YourSelf!” and also at a new blog, E-Science Center. Any comments/suggestions are welcome.

Bhagavad Gita

Guruji Sri Sri Ravishankarji mentioned several times to read Bhagavad Gita. We can find many article at his blog: Wisdom from Sri Sri Ravishankar. He suggested to read Bhagavad Gita on Janmashtami celebration. Recently, on 15th January 2011 at Mumbai Maha-Satsang, He suggested to complete Bhagavad Gita reading in a month. We find many versions of Bhagavad Gita. Guruji suggested to read a simple version, with just translation in your native language. We Indians should not loose our cultural root. One can opt for free email subscription for Bhagavad Gita. Daily one verse with simple meaning and pronunciation.

I thought to apply technology so everyone read Bhagavad Gita in a month. The first thing, I could think is a dedicated blog, with 30 articles, that contains Bhagavad Gita and its translation in Hindi and English. I found online version from Gita Press.

Before I start a new blog, I just Googled about it, and found, many blogs, and other resources about Bhagavad Gita. So I dropped idea to add one more “me too” kind of blog. This article is about various resources, I found on Bhagavad Gita.

At the end let me summarize the content of Bhagavad Gita from Yahoo Answers!

Bhagavad Gita is a concise guide to Hindu theology and also as a practical, self-contained guide to life. It represents a summary of the Vedantic and Upanishadic teachings, it is also called "Veda of the Vedas" and "the Upanishad of the Upanishads".

The main philosophical subject matter of the Bhagavad Gita is the explanation of five basic concepts or "truths":
    Ishvara (The Supreme Controller)
    Jiva (Living beings/the individualized soul)
    Prakrti (Nature/Matter)
Dharma (Duty in accordance with Divine law)
    Kaala (Time)

Krishna counsels Arjuna on the greater idea of dharma, or universal harmony and duty. Krishna expounds the various Yoga processes and understanding of the true nature of the universe. Krishna describes the yogic paths of devotional service, action as a selfless service to mankind, meditation and knowledge.

Fundamentally, the Bhagavad Gita proposes that true enlightenment comes from growing beyond identification with the temporal ego, the 'False Self', the ephemeral world, so that one identifies with the truth of the immortal self, the absolute soul or Atman. Through detachment from the material sense of ego, the Yogi, or follower of a particular path of Yoga, is able to transcend his/her illusory mortality and attachment to the material world and enter the realm of the Supreme.

The Gita addresses the discord between the senses and the intuition of cosmic order. It speaks of the Yoga of equanimity, a detached outlook. The term Yoga covers a wide range of meanings, but in the context of the Bhagavad Gita, describes a unified outlook, serenity of mind, skill in action and the ability to stay attuned to the glory of the Self (Atman) and the Supreme Being (Bhagavan).

According to Krishna, the root of all suffering and discord is the agitation of the mind caused by selfish desire. The only way to douse the flame of desire is by simultaneously stilling the mind through self-discipline and engaging oneself in a higher form of activity.

Krishna summarizes the Yogas through eighteen chapters. Three yogas in particular have been emphasized by commentators:
    Bhakti Yoga or Devotion,
    Karma Yoga or Selfless Action
Jnana Yoga or Self Transcending Knowledge.

I hope, you will find this collection of URLs (website links) useful. I am sure, you will start reading and implementing this philosophy of Srimad Bhagavad Gita.

    Jai Shri Krishna !!
